EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Tactics Grouping as a scout is quite a bit different than soloing. First off, you obviously get to use alot more of your attacks since many of them are from the flank or behind the target. You will also be using your bow alot less and almost never using your snares. Besides attacking more, you will also be getting attacked much less and you should almost never pull agro as a brigand. This means you can wear armor with greater stats and power/health even if the Armor Class (AC) isn¡¯t as good. I worry more about agi, str, power, and health on my grouping armor rather than AC or resists. Another huge role for scouts in a group are HO¡¯s. Scouts can start some of the best HO¡¯s in the game, and as you should know, they are also the only class that can switch an HO. Some of the better HO¡¯s you should concentrate on are Luck¡¯s Bite (high damage HO), Luminary Fate (group power regen), and Resonating Cascade (single target power regen). A full list of HO¡¯s can be found at Ogaming. Besides this, you should concentrate on doing as much damage as possible without pulling agro. Here is what I have found to work out the best as far as order of skills go. I will explain what I do at level 50 but the general strategy is the same: (1) Debuff, (2) Craven Delight to increase your damage if you have it, (3) Ruse, (4) A few of your short recast skills, highest damage ones first, (5) your longer recast skills i.e. 30sec and 1 min recasts, (6) Continue using the rest of your short recast skills and use the higher damage ones again when they refresh, (7) Use your stealth and/or bow skill, (8) Repeat starting with debuff if necessary. So using this basic strategy as an example this is what I do with my level 50 skills. (1) Use Debilitate than Locke¡¯s Ruthless Mugging, (2) Use Craven Delight and then Aggravated Assault while running to front of target, (3) Use Ruse, (4) Use Shiv, (5) Use short recast skills such as Waylay, Gambit, and Concealed Blade, (6) Use Subdue, Dirty Blow, and Murderous Rake, (7) Finish With Locke¡¯s Ruthless Mugging again, then remaining damage skills such as Desperate Thrust and Disable and re-using Waylay, Gambit, Concealed Blade as timer¡¯s should be finishing, (8) Use stealth then Run Through, (9) Use Manastone for more power (you should have this by level 50), (10) Repeat 30sec damage skills and some short recast damage skills until Debilitate is ready again if you need it. This should give you a general idea of how you can maximize your damage with the skills you have. You don¡¯t need to follow me exactly, but just remember that on raid mobs at level 50 you want to use the most skills in the shortest amount of time (if your power permits it). Power shouldn¡¯t be a problem at level 50 when you have breeze, power regen gear, and hearts/shards from pet classes though. Remember to always use those poisons also for more damage!µÚ45Ò³

With a group stealth, run buff, escape, and various flanking and back attacks I can¡¯t think of a better reason to get a group as a brigand. This section will provide you the level range for zones which are best for exp and money. EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Feerrott (35-42) Feerrott is another great zone because of it¡¯s open area and great variety of quests. This is also the location of the last run for the jboots quest. If you haven¡¯t already, you should do the jboots run for Zek and EL to get ready to complete the heritage once you get familiar with this zone. When you first enter the zone you will notice a bunch of Huuptics by the beach. Not only are these mobs very easy to solo but they drop decent loot and most importantly, they can drop the tattered robes quest starter. This quest has one of the most sought after rewards in the game, the Robe of the Invoker, but it is also super rare. Once you¡¯ve had enough of the Huuptics you can move inland and start picking up quests. Lizardmen and some of the easier mobs also have a chance to drop the tattered robes starter just fyi. Just to the left of the tunnel leading away from the beach is a camp with four NPCs who all give a set of quests which have pretty decent rewards. When you complete one of their sets you also get access to a very good solo instanced zone which is right near the camp. Besides this, their are also various dropped quests that reward you with a bit of money as well as a couple other NPC¡¯s who will give you quests. If you happen to see a bouncer named up you can also try kiting him in a safe area. Soon enough you will hit level 42 and get auto access to the last two overworld zones. EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Rivervale (35-37) Around level 35 you can also choose to go into Rivervale and kill the solo mobs around the entrance for a change of scenery. There are also solo mobs around the entrance of the Runnyeye dungeon if you want to check that out as well. Wherever you choose to level though, it¡¯ll be primarily the same thing. The quests in the dungeon areas are usually group quests as these zones are meant for groups. If you still have quests to do in EL and the mobs you need are good exp, I suggest finishing those up first. Soon enough you¡¯ll hit 37 and get auto access to another overworld zone.
EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Lavastorm/Everfrost (42-50) Finally, you are nearing the end of your leveling career. These last 2 zones open up alot of different options in terms what you can do. First off, Everfrost is finally a good zone to use your kiting skills and kill some double ups. There are two primary locations you can do this at. The first location is good when your lower level and is on the very top-left of the map where the bighorn sheep are. This area gives you enough room to run around and kite and only has a couple agro wolves which you can clear first. If you prefer not to kite double ups there are also alot of solo mobs in this area. If you happen to see a frozen corpse around this area it also starts the quest to get into the solo instanced zone. Once you get a couple of levels under your belt you can also move up to the open field with the wooly mammoths and frozen tempests. Again you can either choose to kite the double ups here which are easily avoidable or kill solo mobs. One thing to note about EF is that it has a writ giver for solo quests. If you are in a guild and want to earn some status you can do that and kill the solo mobs at the same time. The other zone you get access to is Lavastorm which you can access from EL. This zone is meant primarily for groups though and their isn¡¯t much solo content. The choices you have here are either the solo fire lizards right by the shoreline or the goblins through the first tunnel. Most of the double ups in Lavastorm are also in close proximity, making it hard to kite them. If you want a change of scenery or just want to check out Lavastorm for a bit you can kill the solo mobs I suggested, but overall for soloing, Everfrost is a better zone. Hopefully you can reach level 50 by just soloing if you choose to, but if you find things starting to go extremely slow around lvl 47+ I highly suggest finding a group to experience some of the endgame content.
EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Nektulos Forest / Thundering Steppes (20-30) Once you are around level 20 or need some harder mobs you can move to Nek forest and Thunder Steppes (TS) to get some new quests and a whole new tier of mobs. Hopefully you like soloing because your just getting started, it will start to take a long time to level when you start reaching the 30s and 40s. Although most people like TS better because of the layout, quests, and mobs, I do suggest spending a little bit of time in Nek forest for some added quest and so you at least have the zone mapped out for when you run jboots. Which leads me to another point, go get your jboots quest in Antonica by the Qeynos Gates once you hit level 25 and get Escape. With Pathfinding, a drink so you can sprint more, and Escape you can run through Ant, CL, TS, and Nek jboots run for a little change of pace and some discovery exp for places you haven¡¯t visited yet. You need Escape to complete the Nek and TS runs which is just another reason why scouts rock! As far as quests go, there are FSR quests to kill mobs around the zone which you can get from both the TS and Nek docks at a desk. They have also recently added a whole new line of quests for solo players in each zone as well. These quests will make your soloing a little less monotonous and some of them have decent rewards. This game is called Everquest for a reason, might as well make use of all the quests ingame while you¡¯re soloing. Also if you happen to see any double ups in open areas you can practice kiting. There¡¯s really not too many anymore though, and the double ups that are in TS and Nek are usually grouped together making it hard to run around without pulling an add. When you get to the higher level zones their will be more group mobs that you can kite. Finally, there are also a few solo instanced zones in TS that you can do if you really want to be solo. They are marked on the map at the website I gave you earlier, you want to look for A Pirates Hidden Stash (low 20s), A Sink Hole (mid 20s), and An Open Grave (high 20s) which should be marked in red on the map. µÚ41Ò³ EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Commonlands (10-20) When you first start in the Commonlands once again look up any quests you can get first. Also I recommend going to the crossroads in the commonlands and getting the Orc Lore and Legend (L&L). Another useful site for finding all the locations of a outside zone is http://eq2.gamepressure.com/maps.asp?ID=34. This will tell you where the crossroads and many other locations are. It will also be extremely useful when you do the jboots heritage. Once you have all your quests start killing Orcs to complete a couple of your quests and update your L&L. As you level up continue to look for quests for your level and find mobs that range from blue to yellow. Around level 14 you should get the quest for Fallen Gates access and kill sand giants for xp and to update the quest. You may need a small group for the next step in the instanced zone or you can wait til level 18ish to solo the zone. Whichever you choose you will either continue to level in the Commonlands on solo mobs or you can level off the mobs in Fallen Gates towards the front of the dungeon. There¡¯s not much else at this level unless you want to run to Antonica for a change of scenery. If you are well equipped you can also try soloing the green double up mobs in the wailing caves for some pretty good exp and chest drops. You will basically be staying around Commonlands and it¡¯s dungeons until you hit 20. EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Freeport Zones (6-10)-1 Ok back to the walkthrough, what you should be doing is finding one of the Freeport zones such as the Graveyard, the Ruins, the Sprawl, etc. and then looking up all the quests associated for the zone that you can pick up in Freeport. I¡¯ll give you an example: Go to the ¡¯quest search¡¯ on Ogaming and choose ¡°The Ruins¡° zone. Look at all of the quests that are related to The Ruins and then go around the starter zones collecting all the quests from the NPC¡¯s that are listed. Once you have received all your quests, start killing stuff in the zone that will update your quest, then return for your reward when you are done. This will get you to level 9 extremely fast. Now that you are level 9 you should go do your class quest (in your case it¡¯s the rogue class quest you want) to become a rogue and raise your level cap to 19. The quest starter can be found in Jade Tiger Inn in North Freeport and if you have any trouble you can find a walkthrough at Ogaming. Hopefully you won¡¯t have any trouble though as the quest is pretty easy and just involves you running around Freeport and killing a few mobs. Depending on how far into level 9 you were when you started the quest, you will either hit level 10 when completeing it or be pretty close. If you¡¯re not level 10 yet just go kill some more mobs and do a couple more quests and you¡¯ll be their in no time. Once you hit level 10 it¡¯s time to move to Commonlands! EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide-Freeport Zones (6-10) Once you leave the Isle you will arrive at a designated zone of Freeport depending on your class. The first thing you must do is complete the citizenship quest which will allow you to enter the main zones of Freeport, give you your apartment, and allow you to raise your level cap from 6 to 9. Before you complete this citizenship quest you cannot reach level 7, what you can do is build up to 220% xp into level 6 meaning that once you complete the citizenship quest you will hit level 8, but anything more than that and you¡¯re just wasting time. Once again the citizenship quest is cleary mapped out and explains everything you need to do. Now is the time to get familiar with your maps and the zones around Freeport. After you have finished the citizenship quest you are now free to roam around and explore the city. Depending on how you did while leveling you should be anywhere from level 6 ¨C 8. It is still extremely easy and fast to solo around this level and like I said before, the fastest way to level is to get quests for the stuff you are killing. The best site out their for quests is http://eq2.ogaming.com and will help you throughout the entire game. I will reference quest names throughout this guide which can be found at Ogaming; this will make your solo experience much faster and more enjoyable. This guide is not a quest walkthrough, so don¡¯t expect a walkthrough for every quest I recommend since a detailed walkthrough can already be found online.
